A Mother or Father will find themselves upon death in a high position in Paradise. So, they will ask Allah,”By Allah, how can I be in a position such as this, when I feel I do not deserve such a position?” And Allah will answer them,

It is because of the Prayers for you from your son/daughter.

Being a good dad is not easy but Being a great dad must be a mission. Because every moment sharing that “I am there present and accounted for”. Children knows that without a doubt their dad is there for them. They knows that dad loves them and that there is nothing that is put before them. So, How to be a good husband in Islam is something that every Muslim man should learn before entering into a wedlock.
The Husband expects every good from his wife. But when it is his turn to reciprocate, he ignores it. This is a common scenario world wide, irrespective of which community one belongs to. It is very important to reiterate this aspect of Islam so that husband-wife relation becomes more stronger and pure.

For A Dad:

Hazrat Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) relates that a desert Arab came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and remarked:

“Do you kiss your children, for we do not?.”

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) replied,

“What can I do if Allah has taken mercy out of your heart?.” [Sahih Bukhari and Muslim]

Hazrat Anas (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever looks after two girls until they attain the age of maturity. would come on the Day of Judgment with me and him being (as close to each other) as these (and he joined his fingers).” [Sahih Muslim]

For A Husband :

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“The most perfect of the believers in faith is he who is the best of them in conduct. and the best of you in conduct are those who are best to their wives.” [Tirmidhi]

Brothers! when Allah has ordained these rights for wife, then who can change them.

If a husband fail to fulfill these rights. He will be guilty of not upholding the rights of the Allah SWT. Man should ponder over how Allah has interceded on behalf of women in the above verse.

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“Helping wives (in their domestic work) earns (men) the reward of charity.” [Kanz-ul-Amaal]

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“O men. There is a reward in your affinity with the wife.” [Ibn Hiban]

The Spiritual Care of One’s Family

Furthermore, just as it is necessary and rewarding to see to the physical and monetary needs of one’s family. So,It is even more important and rewarding to see to their spiritual development.

Allah says in the Glorious Qur’an:

“O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones. over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.”[Surat At-Tahrim 66:6]

For A Wife:

Likewise, the rewards for a women are also many if she interacts well with her husband.

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“Any woman who dies with her husband pleased with her shall enter Paradise .” [Tirmidhi]

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“If a women performs her five prayers, fasts the month of Ramadan. protects herself from immorality, and is obedient to her husband, she will enter into Paradise from any door she desires.” [Hilya]

It is greatly rewarding to treat all the creation of Allah with gentleness and kindness. This reward (along with the responsibility) only increases when their is kinship and closeness. Because This makes the person into a complete believer, and he is rewarded in this life and the Hereafter.

Tell other dads and husbands and share this precious stuff!. Thank them for being there for their families, and encourage them to keep up the good work. 🙂
