Depression and worries can make you feel hurting and useless. These can also make life in general seem empty and worthless.
Stress is life
Stress is anything that causes mental, physical, or spiritual tension. There is no running away from it. All that is important is how you deal with it. This article does not deal with the factors of stress, anxiety, Depression and worries, nor is it a clinical advice. It’s tells that if you feel depressed , remember that you are not alone, ALLAH is always there with you. Islam has blessed us with many Dua’s to get rid of Depression and worries and feel relax and hopeful. So we should build up our belief in ALLAH and recite Dua’s to get rid of Depression and worries.
Worries to Duas
Turn each anxiety, each fear, each concern and each Depression and worries into a Dua. Consider it as a source or another reason to surrender to God, it takes you closest to ALLAH. God listens and already knows what is in your heart, but He wants you to ask Him for what you want.
The Prophet said:
“ALLAH is angry with those who do not ask Him for anything.”
Alhamdulillah, here are some Dua’s to make when under stress and experiencing anxiety Depression and worries . They are a means of dispelling fear, of seeking forgiveness of Allah, seeking His aid, protection and guidance.
“But if anyone turns away from My reminder, his life will be a dark and narrow one…” (Qur’an, 20:124)
In another verse, Allah has revealed that
“… the earth became narrow for them, for all its great breadth and their own selves became constricted for them and they realized that there was no refuge from Allah except in Him…” (Qur’an, 9:118)
This dark life, worries or stress, to give it the current name, is the outcome of non-believers’ failure to tolerate by the moral values imparted by faith. Indeed, it has been revealed in many verses of the Qur’an that Allah imparts “peacefulness” upon the believers.
“Anyone who acts rightly, male or female, being a believer, We will give them a good life and We will recompense them according to the best of what they did.” (Qur’an, 16:97)
Believe in Allah:
When a person is facing Depression and worries he feels as he is engulfed in darkness. It is indeed very difficult to overcome dark patches of life but the above mentioned verse makes it clear that if a person has firm belief in ALLAH, ALLAH takes him out of that darkness.
Anas said that when the Prophet, peace be upon him, was faced with a serious difficulty, he would always supplicate,
“Ya Hayyu, ya Qayyumu, bi-rahmatika astaghithu (O the Living, O the Eternal, I seek help inYour grace).”
Sa’d ibn Waqas reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
“The supplication made by the Companion of the Fish (Prophet Yunus) in the belly of the fish was, ‘La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu minadh-dhalimin (there is no god but You, You are far exalted and above all weaknesses, and I was indeed the wrongdoer)’. If any Muslim supplicates in these words, his supplication will be accepted.”
Ibn Mas’ud reported that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
“If any servant of Allah afflicted with distress or grief makes this supplication, his supplication will be accepted: ‘O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of your maidservant. My forehead is in Your hand. Your command comencing me prevails, and Your decision concerning me is just. I call upon You by every one of the beautiful names by which You have described Yourself, or which You have revealed in Your book, or have taught anyone of Your creatures, or which You have chosen to keep in the knowledge of the unseen with You, to make the Qur’an the delight of my heart, the light of my breast, and remover of my griefs, sorrows, and afflictions‘.”

Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was grieved by something, he used to pray.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.” (Narrated by Muslim).
According to a Quranic Verse:
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (al – Ra’d 13:28)
Man, in spite of his energy, creativity, intellect, wisdom, conquest of space, deliberation and action is a week and helpless creation in ALLAH’s boundless universe. Man has hundreds of needs and worries. If we talk too much about our needs to men, they may not like it. But, the more we ask from ALLAH, He becomes happy and the more HE grants us.
Everyone is in need of success. Dua is the core of worship, the light of the heavens and the earth. It opens the doors of kindness and is a means to fulfill our needs from the resources of our Creator and Sustain er. Turn to the One who has solution to all our problems and worries.
