Out of countless blessing of ALLAH, one of the greatest blessings is LOVE. And what could be more beautiful  than love between Allah and HIS slave! So, To be close to our Creator is a fundamental need of every human being and striving to achieve love of ALLAH can be the healing for our chaotic inner selves.

The love of Allah is the status for which the righteous compete and strive. So, It is the nourishment of hearts and soul, the delight of the eye. It is the light which the one who loses it is in deep darkness. Because the healing of which the one who is denied is sick, the joy which the one who is deprived of it lives in distress and pain.It is the spirit of faith and good deeds… by means of which one may draw closer to his Lord which, when it is absent, one is like a body in which there is no soul.

But the most interesting fact about this special kind of pure love is, it is not one sided ! unlike worldly love. There is no chance of your love being rejected and no doubt in your love being valued, here is the prove .

According to Hadeeth:

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said that Allah (glorified and exalted be He), the Exalted and Glorious said,

“I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him.” (Sahih Muslim).

Above hadeeth explains clearly , that the love between human and ALLAH is not one way. Our minimal effort towards gaining attention of ALLAH gets noticed and valued. Knowing how important is this relationship of love between ALLAH and HIS slave, it gets more important to know such causes that Result in Allaah’s love for HIS slave and the slave’s love for his Lord. Following are few acts which result in increase of love between ALLAH and HIS slave.
