Islam is the only one divine religion that is prescribed for  whole world religion as we

Truly, the (recognized) religion with Allah is Islam. [Surah Al-Imran – Ayat 19]

We know that there is only one God (Allah) who is running whole universe but still so many religions exist in this world and all follow their own gods. The need to know more and more about one Divine power God (Allah) who is the sole creature of this universe and He asked all of us to only worship/obey Him and be not as polytheist or not to associate any other deity with Him.

The Religion’s Name

The religion of  Islam  is not named after a person or a people, nor was  it decided by  a  later  generation  of man,  as  in  the  case  of Christianity which was named  after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gautama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, Marxism after Karl Marx, Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam (submission to the will of God) is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of God, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. Further its name was chosen by God Himself and clearly mentioned in the final scripture which He revealed to man. In that final revelation, called in Arabic “the Qur’an” Allah states the following:

“This day   I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favors upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [Qur’an 5:3]

In another verse

“If  anyone  desires  a  religion  other  than  Islam (submission  to  God),  never  will  it  be  accepted  of Him.” [Qur’an 3:85]

What is Islam?

Here we see how our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) defined Islam:

One day while the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was sitting in the company of some people, (The angel) Gabriel came and asked, “What is faith?” Allah’s Apostle replied,

‘Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, (the) meeting with Him, His Apostles, and to believe in

Resurrection.

” Then he further asked, “What is Islam?” Allah’s Apostle replied, “To worship Allah Alone and none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan.” Then he further asked,

“What is Ihsan (perfection)?” Allah’s Apostle replied, “To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at you.” Then he further asked, “When will the Hour be established?” Allah’s Apostle replied, “The answer er has no better knowledge than the questioner…”

Hadith 001.002.047 – Belief – Narrated Abu Huraira:

I was informed by Abu Sufyan that Heraclius said to him,

“I asked you whether they (followers of Muhammad) were increasing or decreasing. You replied that they were increasing. And in fact, this is the way of true Faith till it is complete in all respects. I further asked you whether there was anybody, who, after embracing his (the Prophets) religion (Islam) became displeased and discarded it. You replied in the negative, and in fact, this is (a sign of) true faith. When its delight enters the heart and mixes with them completely, nobody can be displeased with it.”    Hadith 001.002.048 – Belief -Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas

 The Message of Islam

So, it is the original religion Revealed by Allah (subhanuhu wataalaa) to mankind from the dawn of human history. Thus, the first man, Adam, who was also the first prophet, was a muslim in the sense of being surrendered to Allah (God). And after him came a series of prophets, who were all muslims or surrendered ones. And every single prophet brought the same divinely-revealed Message from his Lord.

 what is that Message?

It is that there is a single, unique Being who is the Lord and Master of all creation. He alone deserves to be worshiped and obeyed, and we, mankind, are accountable to Him for all our actions. We are in this life for a brief, limited period, after which we will return to Him for judgment. We will then enter a life of eternal duration, during which we will either be in permanent happiness or in misery. And the choice of our destiny in that future life is up to us.

“Thus we have appointed you as middle nation, that you may be witnesses upon mankind” (Qur’an 11:43)

Islam is Fast Growing Religion:

Islam is fast growing religion especially in United Kingdom as number of conversions increasing and people studying Islam in-depth.

“I hope that in the next century we will come to terms with our abysmal ignorance of the Muslim world. Muslims aren’t a bunch of wackos and nuts. They are decent, brilliant, talented people with a great civilization and traditions of their own, including legal traditions.

Americans know nothing about them. There are people in that part of the world with whom we are simply out of touch. That’s a great challenge for the next century.”

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy, December 1999 (ABC NEWS)

“Islam is the best chance the poor of the planet have of any hope of decency in their lives. It is one revolutionary force that cares about humanity.”

Former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, 1998 (ABC News)

Above statements clearly depicts non-muslim leader’s understanding about our world religion Islam and its great civilization where all humans have equal rights and values over each other, no racism, only the righteous being is superior to other on basis of his righteousness.
