In the Quran, Allah almighty make 4 promises to His mankind. Here we are going to dive deep into the promises of Allah made to Muslims. Ans first of all, we should have a strong faith that Allah Almighty never broke His promises.

As it is mentioned in the Quran,

O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is true, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allāh by the Deceiver [i.e., Satan]. (AlQuran 35:5)

Allah! the mighty Creator of the earth, has revealed one of the best religions. The best scripture in the land for the guidance of human beings. Quran is the code of conduct of our faith. Quran is the way Allah spoke to His creation. In this ever-perfect book, Allah revealed His glory, commandments, stories of rightly guided people, moral lessons, and basic instructions for life.

Like every excellent book, Quran has its unique narration style, the sort of Allah’s narration.

Since the Quran was revealed to Arabs, the book followed some of the high traditions of Arabs to make the audience feel at home and comfortable. Among many other practices of Arabs, one was swearing, which was often used by people to express their truthfulness while making promises. In the Quran, Allah also swore in many places. Interestingly, Allah has committed four commitments to humankind.

4 Promises of Allah

  • Remembrance

Allah promises his slave that if the slave remembers his Creator, the Almighty creator will also not forget him.

Allah says

So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.

(AlQuran 2:152)

  • Benevolence

Most of us complain about the shortage of money and the business crisis, and similar situations. Allah provides a solution by saying

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, my punishment is severe.

(AlQuran 14:7)

  • Response

We often get tired of asking and running for the solution. Often we think about why Allah is not responding. If Allah has authority overall, why isn’t He ending your turmoil? The answer is HE wants you to call him. He wants you to put forward your request. He likes listening to you. Of course, He is the mighty Lord and can do whatever He wishes. But he wants those words of request to be uttered from your lips. And if you call Him, there is one thing He promises, He will Respond

And your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”(40:60)

  • Forgiveness

Every one of us has made mistakes and committed sins. A good Muslim always seeks forgiveness from Allah for his intentional and unintentional errors and sins. Allah is the most forgiving.

It is mentioned in the Holy Quran,

 “Whether you (mankind) disclose (by good words of thanks) a good deed (done to you in the form of a favor by someone), or conceal it, or pardon an evil, verily, Allah is Ever Oft-Pardoning, All-Powerful.” [Al’Nisa 4:149]

One of the most incredible tricks of Shaitan is to make a person believe that his repentance is useless and his sins are too grave to forgive. You are not taking a shower when you need it the most!

So to restore our faith in repentance and forgiveness, HE has promised his believer in the following words;

But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allāh would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. (Anfaal:33)

and the essential thing which will firm our belief in the promises of Allah is that;

“Indeed, Allah never breaks his Promise.”
