The Holy Quran the words of Allah has many virtues. Each of The Holy Quran’s Surah is important but some of the Surat’s have special importance. So, The greatest virtue of The AlQuran is that it’s one letter recitation is equal to 10 Good deeds. Imagine if we recite only a page Daily, how many deeds we can earn!! SubhanAllah. One letter of The Holy Quran is 10 Good Deeds
Narrated from Abdullah ibn Masood (R.A) as The messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Whoever Reads a letter of the Book of Allah will be credited with a Good Deed, and a Good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that Alif Lam Meem is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter and Meem is a letter (i.e. it is equal to three letters).” [Tirmidhi, 2910]
Whoever Recites The Holy Quran with Difficulty has double recompense
Ayesha narrated that Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasalam) said,
“A person who recites the Qur’an and reads it fluently will be in the company of the obedient and noble angels, and he who reads the Qur’an haltingly and with difficulty will have a double recompense.”
(Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Virtues of Surah al-Fatihah
Surat Al-Fatihah, most superior Surah:
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Mu’alla (R.A) While I was praying, the Prophet called me but I did not respond to his call. Later I said:
“O Allah’s Apostle! I was praying.” He said, “Didn’t Allah say: ‘O you who believe! Give your response to Allah (by obeying Him) and to His Apostle when he calls you’?” (8.24) He then said, “Shall I not teach you the most superior Surah in the Qur’an?” He said, ‘(It is) ‘Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. ‘ (i.e., Surat Al-Fatiha) which consists of seven repeatedly recited Verses and the Magnificent Qur’an which was given to me.” [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 61, Number 528]
Ayat-al-Kursi provides protection from Allah:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A) Allah ‘s Apostle (PBUH) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing of the foodstuff. I caught him and said,
“I will take you to Allah’s Apostle!” Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said:) That person said (to me), “(Please don’t take me to Allah’s Apostle and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (The Holy Quran 2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” (When the Prophet heard the story) he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan.” [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 61, Number 530]
Last two Verses of Surah Baqarah:
Narrated Abu Mas’ud (R.A) The Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon Him) said:
“If somebody recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqara at night, that will be sufficient for him.” [Narrated by Bukhari]
The two lights, Surah Al-Baqarah and Al `Imran:
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Umamah Al-Bahili said that he heard the Messenger of Allah say:
Read the Qur’an, because it will intercede on behalf of its people on the Day of Resurrection. Read the two lights, Al-Baqarah and Al `Imran, because they will come in the shape of two clouds, two shades or two lines of birds on the Day of Resurrection and will argue on behalf of their people on that Day [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]
Virtues of Surah Al-An
At-Tabarani recorded that Ibn `Abbas said,
“All of Surat Al-An`am was revealed in Makkah at night, accompanied by seventy thousand angels, raising their voices in glorification of Allah” [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]
Virtues of Surah al-Kahf
Surah al-Kahf is As-Sakina:
Narrated Al-Bara’ A man was reciting Surat Al-Kahf and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer and closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet (Peace be upon Him), and told him of that experience. The Prophet said,
“That was As-Sakina (tranquility) which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur’an.” [Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 61, Number 531]
Surat Al-Kahf; Protection from Dajjal:
Abu Ad-Darda’ reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
“Whoever memorizes ten Ayat from the beginning of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal” [Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa’i]
Surah al-Kahf the Shining light:
“Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” [al-Haakim, al-Bayhaqi]
