Learning Duas for children and Short Authentic, Islamic Duain For Kids is the need of time. Being Muslim parents, it’s our responsibility to teach our children about Muslims and Islamic duas for kids. Grooming our kids spiritually is as essential as grooming them worldly.

The way we start teaching our children “A for Apple” and “twinkle twinkle” since they start speaking is ironic because we are never as worried about teaching them any small surah or the first Kalimah and other necessary duas for kids.

And sadly, this attitude amplifies generation-wise. If you haven’t taught your child the duas for a kid or the basics of Islam, do not expect him to be religious towards his child in the future.

Teach your Children Different Duas

An example is evident, how much concerned are you in teaching Quran to your kid compared to your parents teaching the Quran to you! I remember we (me and my siblings)  woke up daily in the morning, and the first thing we did before getting ready for school was a recitation of the Quran, whether a few verses.

At night, my mother used to revise our different short dua for children. But today, I feel I often forget this practice with my kids. Ironically we never remember scolding our child for bad grades on a school test. However busy we are, we make sure our kids have completed their school homework.

Sisters! (and brothers too) It’s your job to teach your kid Islam. If you can not do this by yourself, hire a tutor for Quran and Islamic teaching, just as you hire a tutor for your kid’s schooling.

Pay attention to your children. A straightforward and good practice could be making your child memorize little duas for children. Children can easily remember many short duas of day and night. Some of the easy Duas for children are below, and if you want your kid to memorize these duas, you can also join our Dua Memorization course.

Duas For Children when waking up

“Praise is to Allah Who gives us life after He has caused us to die and to Him is the return.”

Muslims Kids Dua Before Sleeping

With Your name, O Allah, I die, and I live.

Dua Before Eating

Reciting duas before and after eating food is one of the etiquettes of eating Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) practised and recommended.

“In the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah, I begin (eating)”.

Muslim Dua For kids After Eating

“All praise belongs to Allah, who fed us, quenched our thirst, and made us Muslims.”

Dua Before going to the washroom

“O Allah, I seek refuge with you from all evil and evil-doers.”

Duas After using the bathroom

“(O Allah) I seek forgiveness and pardon from You.”

Or you can also memorize this one:

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الْأَذَى وَعَافَانِي

“Praise be to Allah, who removed the difficulty from me and gave me ease (relief).”

Duas after Sneezing:

When one of you sneezes, he should say:

 الْحَمْدُ للهِ

“All praise is for Allah.”

and his brother or companion should say to him:

يَرْحَمُكَ الله

“May Allah have mercy on you.”

And he (the one who sneezed) replies to him.

“May Allah guide you and rectify your condition.”

Dua Before Leaving the House:

بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.”

Duas for Exams and studies

There are various duas for exams and surveys. The best option is to memorize your child’s surah Alm Nashrah and make him/her recite it often. Surah Alm Nashrah and Verse 25-28 of Surah Taha are both best for school-going kids. The ayat from surah taha can also be helpful for children who are nonfluent in speech or have stammering issues.

“O, my Lord! Open my chest, make my task easy, and loose the knot from my tongue, so they understand my speech.” Surah Taaha verse 25-28

These were a few of the primary Duas for children. For more Duas, you can also hire the services of our professional teachers for your kids.
